This is a beautiful plein air painting of the Autumn meadows of Carpinteria, California painted by Karen Gruszka. It's focus is the various native trees in the long grasses at the base of rolling hills in a cloud topped blue sky.

Gruszka is a member of The Oak Group famous for their fine arts and the drive to preserve the endangered local habitat. she is listed in Ask Art.com and was a featured artist in Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine in March of 2006. She is also one of the featured artist in the recently published book " The Oak Group" 1986-2006 Twenty five year catalogue benefiting The Nature Conservancy. Her work also is shown at the Land Trust of Santa Barbara.
