This is a beautiful reclining nude woman painted on canvas from the back of her body. She is in fire light that highlights the contours of her body while obscures her face as she gazes into a mirror.
The artist is Jennie Tamao-Bragg, the wife of famed California painter Charles Bragg. She is well known for her florals and landscapes.
She was born in New York and studied at the New York School of music and Art. She has exhibited widely and has won numerous awards including The Award of Excellence from the Pittsburgh Institute of Art. She is currently a featured artist at Winndevon Art Group in Seattle, Washington. Her listings and sales records are numerous.
This piece is framed in a gold ornate frame with linen mat and gold filet. There are some nicks to the frame and some pink paint. The painting itself is in excellent condition.
