Yakima Native American Indian Beaded Bag

Circa 1910-1930

9" wide by 11 1/4" high.

This bag is in pristine condition. The buckskin handles have been replaced. There is a cotton calico interior with no flaws.

The front of the bag is turquoise seed beads in an overall pattern. It is centered by a blue multi floral stem of multi colored flowers. The flowers are two shades of blue with pink petals trimmed in white. Another flower resembles a daisy with pale blue petals trimmed in a darker blue. Each petal has gold embellishment and a round gold center. The leaves are two tone blue with Black centers. The bottom stems have pink pods.

The back of the bag is covered in green felt with one stitched repair. This bag is one of a collection of seven bags from an extensive New York collection. It is in pristine condition.
