This is a beautiful impressionist view of a the Antelope Valley poppy preserve in Lancaster by plein air California artist J.D. Slay 111.
The painting measures 9" high by 12" wide unframed. It is framed in a black wood 3 1/2" wide frame with a gold filet making it 17 1/2" wide by 14 1/2" high.
The painting is in excellent condition and signed by the artist on the front and back of the artist board. Slay is a well listed artist trained in the classical Russian style. His biography can be found in the Artist Bluebook and other publications.
