This is a lovely framed oil painting of a young woman taking a nap in the nude. She is accompanied by her white Persian cat, who is wakeful.
Lying on the table in the foreground is a grouping of apples and pears. The painting is signed bottom right and has an ornate gold frame. The condition is excellent.
The painting is in very good condition signed by artist Helen Kask. We have identified the artist Helen Kask as a Napa Valley college teacher of art. She has died in the past 10-15 years. Helen Kask is listed in the American Society of Portrait Painters.
I am drawn to the painting for it's soft and alluring qualities. It is very easy on the eyes.
