Art Deco custom framed magazine cover Today's Housewife May 1921Item# 3190Circa 1921 27 1/2" high by 24" wide framed This is a custom framed Today's Housewife Magazine cover from May 1921. It is high deco with an imperial looking woman dressed in a peacock colored and accented gown. The custom framing is in an ornate gold gesso frame with pale green brocade matt and gold bullion filet. They are accented on top with real peacock feathers. The woman is standing before an Art Deco style fireplace with porcelain peacocks on either side. It is a wonderful decorative piece of American over the top ephemera and Art Deco excess. The framing artist is Kathleen Caid a California multi talented artist with a vivid imagination. $250
