This is a Carmel Seascape by listed California artist Florence Upson Young. It is signed in the foliage. She lived from 1872-1974 and is very well listed in Who's Who in Pacific Coast painters.
Listed also with by Edan Hughes in Who's Who in American Art. She was widely exhibited in the Los Angeles Ebell Club and The Greek Theater. She studied in her early life with Kenyon Cox and William Meritt Chase. She was a founder of Friendly Arts Club and contributed to Horizons in Creative Art.
