Handpainted pyrographic Christmas box

Circa 1907

7 1/2"long by 7 1/2" wide by 4" high

This is a beautiful handmade wooden box decorated with pyrographic designs. They include a lovely lady in profile next to a painted poppy.

The box is poker wood decorated on all of the sides and inscribed to A Merry Christmas to Mama, 1907.

The interior is lined with powder blue material. The box has working hinges and a little swing handled lock. It is in excellent vintage condition. The paint was freshened at some later date and is perfect.

A heartfelt treasure.
