Victorian hand painted mirror with roses
Item# 12588
Circa 1900
27" high by 19" wide
This is a fabulous English Victorian period hand painted mirror. It is artist pallet shaped in a dark wood veneer. The mirror is beveled in an oval shape. The entire mirror is covered in hand painted pink, cream, red and yellow roses with lots of green foliage.
There is a stress crack in the base of the frame which can be filled with wood putty and a few nicks and scrapes. But it is in otherwise wonderful brilliant condition.
It is a wonderful decorative accessory, perfect for a powder room or any gentle decor. I have loved owning it since the early 1980's. I bought it from a Northern England flea market in the middle of the night in a snow storm and then lugged it back across the field over a mile to my truck. That's love!
