Gentleman's English footstool

This is a needlepoint English gentleman's footstool. It has ebonized black wood legs and a needle pointed top of classical design including gold geometric and floral patterns. The top is either faded in blocks or the pattern was gray in some parts, I can't tell. I bought it in Manchester, England in the 1990's and used it as a display piece in my now closed antiques store.
