French porcelain handpainted waterlily lampbase

20" tall to top of harp 8" wide

This is a lovely handpainted Art Nouveau lampbase without a shade. It features a rich turquoise background with gold hands on hips style arms in a flattened bulbous shape. The painting is on both sides and has creamy waterlilies, lush leaves and multicolored butterflies trimmed in gold.

It is in good vintage condition rewired for the UAL American marketplace. There are tiny nibbles of wear at the footing but nothing significant.

This is a very beautiful piece that was a fixture on the jewelry case of my antiques store in the 1980's. I bought it out of a home in Paris.
