Pottery head of a beautiful black woman

This is the head and neck of a beautiful African woman. She has expressive eyes and painted orange lips. Her head is covered with a white scarf in a decorative manner.

She is made of heavy ceramic fired in a mat finish except the eyes which are high glaze dark brown highlighted with amber coloring. She is 10 1/2" high by 6" wide.

The condition of the scarf is slightly pitted in back which is normal in this type of pottery and firing techniques. She is not signed and although I should remember who she is made by, I can't think of the company.
