Chiffon gown and matching shawl from the Estate of Anna Moffo

Hand made peach chiffon gown with rhinestone trim at the asymmetrical waist and deep V neckline, as well as arms and back. Handkerchief hems on sleeves and hem. Peach tone on tone embossed flowers and gradation of color from pale to deep at hem.
There is also a circular matching shawl 62" long that can be worn in several ways. It can be a cape or throw.
The dress is a size 14-16 and is 64" long from top of strap to the longest part of the hem. The sleeves are 28" at the longest point and the waist is 19" wide. The V neckline plunges 11 from shoulder to waist. This piece is hand made and has no label. It is in very good condition but would benefit from a gentle hand wash.
Biographical Information on Anna Moffo Sarnoff:
Born 6/27/32 in Wayne Indiana died 3/10/2006. She received a Fullbright Scholarship to The Academia de Santa Cecilia in Rome to study advanced opera. Debuted on November 1959 by playing Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata at the Metropolitan Opera.
She was a major recording artist for RCA victor records and traveled the world performing.
Anna was considered the best known American lyrical and dramatic soprano singer in the 1950's. It her later life she was married to Robert Sarnoff the Chairman of RCA.
She was well known for her charity fund raising and received the Spirit Award in 1967 as well as the Cancer Society Humanitarian award in 2004.
